Alfie is the legendary cat that lives with me in my flat in Canterbury. I adopted him from my wee sister in 2020, who brought him into our lives when he was a kitten a few years before.

I've always loved cats and have had them in my life since I was younger. Growing up through my teens we had a cat called Jasper who was my pride and joy. Mum and I shared him really, but he was my best pal. Shortly after I adopted Alfie, Jasper passed away suddenly aged 10, but he lives on in my leather wallet brand.

Living at home alone, especially through the pandemic, can be lonely. Having a pet helps keep that loneliness at bay with a little companion giving you cuddles, attention and even having a few one way conversations. Alfie has been wonderful to have around as he's such a character.

When I'm working he'll be on my desk or in my office. When I'm eating dinner, he's usually on one of the chairs (or trying to get some of my food). Then, when it's bedtime he comes and plonks himself on my chest, and, a fair warning if you come to visit me, anyone else that sleeps in my bed 😂
